Casey A. Caviness, Band Director

Born July 12, 1968 to Jim and Kay Caviness in Topeka, Kansas.

This school year makes the 7th year that Mr. Caviness has been the director at LBHS. During the past 5 years, the band has consistently received Superior ratings in both concert and marching competitions and festivals.

Mr. Caviness also founded the indoor percussion/guard program, which as been ranked as high as 3rd in the nation.
 
Mr. Caviness graduated from Harrison Central H.S. and

attended MGCCC and USM.

Mr. Caviness joined the prestigious USMC Drum and Bugle Corps in Washington, D.C. and served for 8 years. He has studied with Dwight Hollingsworth, Sherman Hong, and Col. Truman Crawford.

Mr. Caviness is married to Rita Becallo Caviness, a music teacher and former band director.  

He has two children - Caitlan and Sean.
