LBHS Band Biographies                                                                        James Brown, Assistant Band Director

Mr. Brown is a native of Bay Minette, AL. 

He graduated from Baldwin County High School in 1996. 
He attended Faulkner State Community College.
where he was a member of Sun Chief Sound and the Jazz Band.

After graduating with an Associate’s Degree in General Studies in 1998.
 Mr. Brown transferred to the University of Southern Mississippi (USM)

 
Mr. Brown participated in the Pride of Mississippi Marching Band,
 USM Concert Band, Jazz Lab Bands, Steel Drum Band,
 Saxophone Chamber Orchestra, and many other small ensembles.
 He graduated from USM in 2002  with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education.

Mr. Brown accepted a job in McComb, MS
where for the past 5 years he was in charge of the
Beginner Band classes and assisted with the Concert Band.

 Mr. Brown received his Master’s Degree in Music Education from USM in 2005. 
He has been married to his wife Laura for 5 years. They have one daughter, Madeleine.
